May 5, 2008: Amid the devastation of Cyclone Nargis and a death toll quickly climbing over 15000, the Burmese American Democratic Alliance (BADA) today appeals to the United Nations, the United States
and the international community to act quickly to stop the death count from rising any further and to help ease the suffering in Burma. Concerned individuals can help the victims by making a donations on www.badasf.org, all proceeds earmarked for cyclone victims will be used only for that purpose. Many of these cyclone victims were already a victim of 46 years of brutal military oppression, struggling to live hand to mouth.
